These are beautiful pics...that beastie looks like he's enjoying the sand a little. Poor you, low 70's...did you have to get the long john's out LOL...i nearly slid thru an intersection because the icy road was like glass here today. Although we did have a lovely deep turquoise sky tonight. The reward for being clear and cold.
Keep the beach pics coming...it keeps the rest of us going :)
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I really do miss teaching and one day hope to go back to it. So, while playing the part of an administrator, I always back my teachers.
I read your earlierest posts about not a school not punishing a SPED teacher and I think that is just wrong. While it may not be fun, I am willing to go to court to keep all my students and teachers safe and keep education as the primary goal. And for the record, I used to be a SPED teacher. I am BIG on consequences because as you pointed out, life won't give a shit about your "disability" once you are 18.
Beth - I have found that the SPED students who push the system are the result of parents pushing the system. Usually to support their enabling and dysfunction.
Huh, I'll have to go back and read the sped story in the archives. I love to see all the angles, since I'm walking the line as the sped teacher and the sped parent. :-)
Pseudo - Thanks for your comments. I'm just a baby at this blogging time and I might need some help knowing when to change my diaper. I tried to fix the email part...
Definately think we should swap stories sometime. I am really hoping that this new Prez will make some major changes with NCLB. Something has to change... unless ALL schools become failing schools. We are right on track for that!
So incredibly gorgeous. We have some similar Christmas and NYE pictures. Totally makes the worms worth while. Mostly. Um, maybe it's the kids I need to get rid of, not the tropics?
What a great way to spend New Year's Day - love the shot of Border Collie! Hope the rest of your year is as kick-ass as the day in the pictures!
ReplyDelete*sigh* That was how I spent LAST New Year's Eve. This year we shivered on the sofa and wondered if poor Dick Clark has had a stroke.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, but colour me green with envy as I look out my window and compare your pics to my Grey skies, white snow, and sheer ice.
