We moved.
Only to another part of the island.
But packing up a house that we had been in for 17 years....
A round of stomach flu days before the move (which I did not get, but instead got to pack while everyone else was puking).
Bittersweet meets pure exhaustion meets a sense of something new in the air.
So much blog fodder, not any time...
The Internet just got reinstalled. I will be around to visit in a few days. There's a garage full of boxes and a mother load of shit to do.
It will be worth the wait to read some of your adventures during the move. Best wishes in your new home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. xoxoxo
ReplyDeletehope that the rest of the moving and unpacking goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteAgain, I wish I could help you. I'm weird and I actually like unpacking.
ReplyDeleteTake your time. We'll still be right here.
Enjoy your new home. Post pics if you can.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you love the new house! Just settle in, don't overwhelm yourself and we look forward to seeing pics when you are ready!
ReplyDeleteI kinda like unpacking and setting up new digs too...oh f**k it... I'm on the next flight out.. I'm coming to help!!
ReplyDelete(oh I so wish...)
Aw, there's so much to do; don't worry about us.
ReplyDeleteLike Maureen said - with so much to do, don't worry about us. We'll be here when you get back.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you didn't get the stomach flu.
Take your time Sweetie. We'll be here!
ReplyDeleteIt must be a relief to at least be moved, even if you're not unpacked. Take your time getting settled.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Can't wait to hear about the new house and the adventure of the move.
ReplyDeleteNot a fun activity! But, it is the necessary stuff of life. Don't over do it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck shoveling that shit here and there. May it all come together smoothly for you.
ReplyDeleteJust reading this made my bones ache with a sense memory of the weariness that only comes from packing, hauling, sweating--and the emotionalizing--of a move.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's great when it's done.
good luck. i can't imagine packing up 17 yrs worth of stuff--bittersweet indeed. but, i like the smell of something new in the air.
ReplyDeleteNo rush, we'll be waiting when you get back!
ReplyDeletefresh starts can be good (an lots of work)
ReplyDeleteJust don't forget to take a breather once in awhile. I know it can be overwelming. Pace yourself.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you didn't catch the bug.
I hate to move. Try to take it easy. We'll all be here when you get the time.
ReplyDeleteMay the force be with you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like work. :(
ReplyDeleteMother loads of shit to do is a perfectly justifiable reason for your bloggy absence. You are missed.
See, now, it's WARM there, so you can get out and do shit. It's COLD here, so I can't do ANYTHING but watch Olympics and be all patriotic. Right?
ReplyDeleteSee you when you get back. Enjoy the new digs!
Glad you got all moved. Can't wait to hear more.. Be here when you get back..
ReplyDeleteMove accomplished, now for the "fun" part, eh? Can't wait to read whatever you care to share--and so glad you didn't succumb to the flu!
ReplyDeleteHey far out Pseudo! Congrats
ReplyDeleteMoving is never fun, in the best of circumstances. Maybe one day, you'll look back on this move and laugh.
ReplyDeleteI want to wish you all the best in your new home.
I do not envy your move (or the flu your family got), but I do wish you a happy housewarming!
ReplyDeleteI would so help if I were there! Good luck, hope the migraine doesn't come back and everyone else doesn't go back to the vomitorium.
ReplyDelete:)
Unpack it as you need it...and, if you find you haven't unpacked it in a few months, donate it. It's a proven way to cull.
ReplyDeleteTake your time. We'll be here waiting for the tales......
Hey Pseudo, I've been missing in action for a while and just catching up.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got moved and hope the unpacking is going smoothly.
And mostly, I hope you get a nice long nap along the way.
I hope you love your new home.
xo
Oh, glad you survived! Moving is so stressful, even without puking.
ReplyDeleteOh, glad you survived! Moving is so stressful, even without puking.
ReplyDeleteMy, what a challenge! Hope everything finds its "place" in your new place, and that the pukers go away soon...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the adventures your new digs will be bringing! Stay healthy!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of starting over and hate the idea of going thru everything. Someday tho.....
ReplyDeleteWishing you well.
Hugs,
SMB
Hope when you get settled your life feels clean and new and simplified in a good way.
ReplyDeleteMother lodes. I hate those, most of the time. See you when you get settled.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some down time in all of this. Sorry to read about your migrane "adventures."
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo. You made it to the new spot. Mission 1- complete. Now to find what box all your stuff is in...
ReplyDeleteGood luck. Enjoy all that new-ness!
Moving is so stressful. May you be safely unpacking and may your immodium and your imatrex be on separate shelves!
ReplyDeleteI donn't envy anyone having to pack up and move after 17months... but 17 years - Good luck!!
ReplyDeletemay you be settled in soon and hope everyone is all well now, too!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you- hope things are well!
ReplyDeleteJust checking in.. Hope all is well...
ReplyDeleteMiss you..
Hi Pseudo, just read about the potential tsunami and am wondering if you're ok. Let me know if you guys need anything...
ReplyDeleteI just saw there were Tsunami warnings in Hawaii and immediately thought of you. I hope you and your family are safe.
ReplyDeletePseudo, with all this tsunami news today please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I hope you are settled in from your move and that you are up high and out of the path of danger.
