  7. Yesterday, they were saying the death-toll could be in the tens of thousands; this morning Beloved told me they are now saying half a million. It's hard to wrap your brain around that.

  8. Uggh, why does this always happen to the poorest nations? To the nations that really just can't afford this kind of thing? My prayers are with the people who don't even know if their relatives are still alive. Thanks, pseudo.

I did Travel today, though. Link me up, Scotty.

  10. Thank you for posting this. I'm doing what I can on Facebook to spread the word. Donations and aid are so needed. My husband spent a month right in and around Port-Au-Prince a few years back and he came home a very changed man. Their very existence is grave at best and something like this on top of their normal hardships is absolutely devastating. Prayer and sending what we can to a reputable organization like the Red Cross is one of the best ways we can help.

  14. Thanks for posting this. I put up one of Blogger's Red Cross widgets on my blog. I hope more bloggers do the same so we can reach even more people who can hopefully afford to make a donation, no matter how small it may be. Pennies make dollars, my friends.

  17. It's just so awful. I've already given to the Red Cross on account of it. I'm hoping many people will.

  18. I think the fact that donations can be made via texting is great for young people. My daughter felt like she could do something on her own to help.
    Soo incomprehensibly sad...

  24. As I've said all around the Blogosphere today, donating via text is a godsend. How the Red Cross gets that money and puts it to use seems to be the fastest I've ever heard of.
