We moved.
Only to another part of the island.
But packing up a house that we had been in for 17 years....
A round of stomach flu days before the move (which I did not get, but instead got to pack while everyone else was puking).
Bittersweet meets pure exhaustion meets a sense of something new in the air.
So much blog fodder, not any time...
The Internet just got reinstalled. I will be around to visit in a few days. There's a garage full of boxes and a mother load of shit to do.

It will be worth the wait to read some of your adventures during the move. Best wishes in your new home.
Good luck. xoxoxo
hope that the rest of the moving and unpacking goes smoothly!
Again, I wish I could help you. I'm weird and I actually like unpacking.
Take your time. We'll still be right here.
Enjoy your new home. Post pics if you can.
I hope that you love the new house! Just settle in, don't overwhelm yourself and we look forward to seeing pics when you are ready!
I kinda like unpacking and setting up new digs too...oh f**k it... I'm on the next flight out.. I'm coming to help!!
(oh I so wish...)
Aw, there's so much to do; don't worry about us.
Like Maureen said - with so much to do, don't worry about us. We'll be here when you get back.
I am so glad you didn't get the stomach flu.
Take your time Sweetie. We'll be here!
It must be a relief to at least be moved, even if you're not unpacked. Take your time getting settled.
Good luck! Can't wait to hear about the new house and the adventure of the move.
Not a fun activity! But, it is the necessary stuff of life. Don't over do it!
Good luck shoveling that shit here and there. May it all come together smoothly for you.
Just reading this made my bones ache with a sense memory of the weariness that only comes from packing, hauling, sweating--and the emotionalizing--of a move.
I hope it's great when it's done.
good luck. i can't imagine packing up 17 yrs worth of stuff--bittersweet indeed. but, i like the smell of something new in the air.
No rush, we'll be waiting when you get back!
fresh starts can be good (an lots of work)
Just don't forget to take a breather once in awhile. I know it can be overwelming. Pace yourself.
So glad you didn't catch the bug.
I hate to move. Try to take it easy. We'll all be here when you get the time.
May the force be with you!
Sounds like work. :(
Mother loads of shit to do is a perfectly justifiable reason for your bloggy absence. You are missed.
See, now, it's WARM there, so you can get out and do shit. It's COLD here, so I can't do ANYTHING but watch Olympics and be all patriotic. Right?
See you when you get back. Enjoy the new digs!
Glad you got all moved. Can't wait to hear more.. Be here when you get back..
Move accomplished, now for the "fun" part, eh? Can't wait to read whatever you care to share--and so glad you didn't succumb to the flu!
Hey far out Pseudo! Congrats
Moving is never fun, in the best of circumstances. Maybe one day, you'll look back on this move and laugh.
I want to wish you all the best in your new home.
I do not envy your move (or the flu your family got), but I do wish you a happy housewarming!
I would so help if I were there! Good luck, hope the migraine doesn't come back and everyone else doesn't go back to the vomitorium.
:)
Unpack it as you need it...and, if you find you haven't unpacked it in a few months, donate it. It's a proven way to cull.
Take your time. We'll be here waiting for the tales......
Hey Pseudo, I've been missing in action for a while and just catching up.
Glad you got moved and hope the unpacking is going smoothly.
And mostly, I hope you get a nice long nap along the way.
I hope you love your new home.
xo
Oh, glad you survived! Moving is so stressful, even without puking.
Oh, glad you survived! Moving is so stressful, even without puking.
My, what a challenge! Hope everything finds its "place" in your new place, and that the pukers go away soon...
Can't wait to hear the adventures your new digs will be bringing! Stay healthy!
I love the idea of starting over and hate the idea of going thru everything. Someday tho.....
Wishing you well.
Hugs,
SMB
Hope when you get settled your life feels clean and new and simplified in a good way.
Mother lodes. I hate those, most of the time. See you when you get settled.
I hope you find some down time in all of this. Sorry to read about your migrane "adventures."
Woo hoo. You made it to the new spot. Mission 1- complete. Now to find what box all your stuff is in...
Good luck. Enjoy all that new-ness!
Moving is so stressful. May you be safely unpacking and may your immodium and your imatrex be on separate shelves!
I donn't envy anyone having to pack up and move after 17months... but 17 years - Good luck!!
may you be settled in soon and hope everyone is all well now, too!
Thinking of you- hope things are well!
Just checking in.. Hope all is well...
Miss you..
Hi Pseudo, just read about the potential tsunami and am wondering if you're ok. Let me know if you guys need anything...
I just saw there were Tsunami warnings in Hawaii and immediately thought of you. I hope you and your family are safe.
Pseudo, with all this tsunami news today please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I hope you are settled in from your move and that you are up high and out of the path of danger.
