Camping on Oahu's North Shore

Virtual travel anyone? It's Travel Tip Thursday. I'm on my third day of October Intercession and just finished grading the students' final writing projects. It took me almost three days to grade everything and upload grades to our school's online site for grades.

It's humid, hot, and I hear the waves are up at the beaches. But I'm in my house sweating and haven't been to the beach so far this week. Not just the Unblogableness these days. Just regular grading hell.
Want to know where I took this photo of this incredible chunk of driftwood? And. By the way. What do you see? Curious if it is what I see. Saw. I have, like, a hundred pictures of this tree that is about to become driftwood.
Anywhos. I did a guest post at The Locals Love It blog on Tuesday about my favorite camping beach here on Oahu. Since I wish I was there right now, let's just head on over.
Hope to see a bunch of you in Mr. Linky. Because I was supposed to be in California this week and the Unblogable crapped all over that. So, take me/ us away....

I want to play, but I have another blog obligation tonight...

I see a bird...a doo-doo type of bird.

Sorry about California.

Oh I wish I could keep Mr. Linky company tonight! Does having a virtual vacation via a daughter spending all your money in Scotland qualify???

Wouldn't it be cool to be a piece of driftwood? Just go where the waves take you and not worry about a thing.

I entered a blog post that I wrote in April about my favorite place to visit these days. I hope you enjoy it!

I would like to become a piece of driftwood too. Where do I sign up?

I think I will be virtually traveling this afternoon if unbloggably distracting stuff doesn't happen. xxoo

Sorry about all the unbloggableness. I've been thinking of you and Movie and praying that things work out just like they are supposed to work out.

As for the tree, I see a giant hand holding up something (one part looks kind of like a mushroom). Funky tree!

Okay, I see a mermaid w/o a head with her arms flung back. But I'm funny that way...
I think you need to at least take a 5 min walk and see those waves. Me too. Today. Hearing them is definitely not always enough.
Sorry about CA.

I sure wish I could come visit Hawaii right now to take your mind off the unbloggable!

Love driftwood, and that one is really unique and cool! :)

I collected some interesting bits of driftwood when I was out east once and my mom threw it all away. What's up with that?

That's the biggest piece of driftwood I've seen, although it will all break apart, right?

I plowed through a pile of papers last night!! Last year, I had student teachers all year....

this year!! I got screwed with none. The school district did not want me to have them two years in a row. JERKS!! I miss having someone to grade for me.

I wonder if we could send our papers to India to have graded cheaply??

I read about the beach over at Locals Love It. Sounds fabulous. The driftwood kind of looks like a swan to me, it has a face. Very cool.

Still grading papers?!

Thanks for stopping over and I hope you enjoy the music blog site.

I'd love to drift off to Hawaii myself, or even Californie! and that driftwood, wow, what a find. There are many a great driftwood artist out there. Even in their natural from driftwood are watered sculptures.
