Tell Me a Story...

The Spin Cycle this week is "photo essay."

I've created a wordless photo essay. Your mission, should you choose to embark on said mission, is to leave a story in the comment section to go along with the photos....

Wanna play?

BC cannot wait to hear what you have to say about his antics. I may leave the real deal in the comment thread, but it will probably be anticlimatic after the fun....
For more photo essays, head on over to Jen at Sprite's Keeper.

Once upon a time, there was a dog. A prince dog. The handsomest prince dog ever! (Except for that one handsome prince dog named Riley... So it was really more of a tie.)

Anyway, one day this prince dog looked out over his land, and saw... moss.

And he thought, what can I do with this moss?

He began to gather some moss with his mouth.

Then he mixed it and rolled it with the sand.

And he produced a ball! A magic ball. A magic ball of endless fun.

The only thing is, the magic ball of endless fun only worked when the prince dog had help from one of his subjects.

Will you be that subject?

Oh my. I am far too snuffly and snorkly to do better than Kristan. Well done.
Great photos, Pseudo!

This is the story of a dog and his day. A day that started out just like any other day except he got to go to his favorite place! It turned out to be a perfect day shared with the peeps he loved! The End

Once upon a time there was a little dog who was afraid of everything. He loved chasing his little green ball. One day, his owner threw the ball a little too far and it ended up in a mossy area in the ocean water. The little dog was so scared, he turned to his owner as if to say, "Would you go get it?"
The dog's owner decided that it was time for the dog to face his fears and take steps toward facing life's obstacles.
The dog was devastated. He had to get his ball before the evil water swept it out to sea. Very slowly he crept down to the waters edge, and digging through the moss, he found his green ball.
He had done it! He stood triumphantly with the ball in his mouth as the water sped past his little paws.
He walked triumphantly back to his owner with a whole new outlook on life. He could do anything if he tried! Once he stood up to his fears, a whole new life lay ahead of him. He was no longer a scared puppy, now he was a courageous dog!

Jiff went to the beach, played in the waves lapping the shore, and then fetched his favorite tennis ball until he finally wore himself out and fell down for a doggie nap. The swell pet dreamed about his family and was thankful they loved him so much. The End.

hehe

BC thoughts:
Throw the ball. Throw the ball. Just don't throw it over in the mossy stuff. That moss stuff tastes like broccoli. Come on. Throw the ball. Sheesh. You had to throw it in the mossy stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I know you think it is funny. Or is it that you get a couple seconds of peace. Where is that ball? Oh, yuck. This stuff tastes like cat butt. There is the ball. Bleh. Throw the ball. Throw the ball. Please just throw the ball. And try not to let it go in the mossy stuff. Because you love me, right?

The old man had been gone a long time. BC had watched him as he slowly waded into the water, shaking a finger at BC. All BC could understand was, "Stay. Ball. Boy."

The water had swallowed his old master. Swallowed him whole. BC waited, until the sun moved and his stomach growled from hunger.

Stay. Ball. Boy. BC snatched up the ball, ran about the sand, ready to play, but the old man would not come back.

BC turned to where the sand led back to Home, where the boy was. Stay. Ball. Boy. The boy. The boy would come.

BC waited. For the old man, for the boy. He waited for what would come next.

See Max.
Max is a pirate dog!
See Max run!
See Max play!
One day Max and his pirate, Captain Dan, went to an island.
The island was a treasure island!
Captain Dan sent his pirates all around the island digging for treasure.
The only one who found any treasure at all was Max.
Good dog, Max!

He's saying, "hey, wow, why do I keep finding these cool tennis balls in the sea? Where do they come from? This cool moss?"
And he brings it to you and you tell him, "no, it's from this wonderful woman who lives in Martha's Vineyard. But her dumb dog won't fetch the stupid ball. So they float away in the ocean and land in Hawaii. For your lucky lucky dog."
He is a cutie!

And the aliens disguised themselves as a small green ball so as to throw off all human suspicion and allow themselves time to hatch their nefarious (I've always wanted to use that word) plan to take over the earth.

Little did they know that BC was aware of the scheme and crushed the ball with his mighty jaws and saved all life on Earth.

"Yuck," said BC owner, "Where did you find that dirty, old ball. It's probably diseased. Darned dog, I never know what you're going to put in your mouth next!"

The day we went to the beach.

What a fun day to go to the beach.
I wonder if the ball will ever get thrown for me today? Oh no it hit the slime pit. I will wait for it to float back to me. I know it will. I showed you slime I got the ball. See me I have it. Now can you please play again? But no slime pit this time. Thanks...

Hi, I'm BC! This is my beach--I love my beach! Look there are rocks by my beach, and they're covered in green stuff.

I spy with my little eye...

Look what I found!

Will you throw it for me to catch? I love to play catch at the beach.

What do you mean I can't keep it??

Truly fun, Pseudo!

BC the border collie looks like he's doing what they do best, next to herding something- which is to play fetch. He's saying, throw, it! Throw it already! Please?

She did it again. You plead gently with your eyes and where does she throw the ball? In the seaweed, that's where. Gross. Just giving you fair warning, if you throw the ball in the seaweed again I'll roll in it.

That's is what my BC would have done.
