Would I Lie to YOU?

Apparently I would. Jane at Gaston Studio’s tagged me for this little game.

Tell two truths and one lie and dare the game players to guess which one is the lie. I have played this game mucho times with my students. It is one of my favorite getting to know each other, class bonding games. The students have very little aptitude for stepping into the teacher’s shoes and hardly ever guess my lie. But I have no idea how well you folks on the internet will do.

1. Right after high school I sang backup vocals and played tambourine for a local band that played at parties. Our highlight was a couple bar gigs, after which everyone went their separate paths.

2. I was once in a jeans commercial where I was the one NOT in the jeans, envying the hot model who walked through the night club IN the jeans.

3. I was a gymkhana barrel racer. My horse and I placed in every event we entered and my teenage bedroom was decorated with ribbons.

I’ll post part two tomorrow, where I will reveal the lie.

I’m encouraging any and all who want to play along to tag themselves….

Meanwhile, if you have not checked out Jane’s blog, you should head on over. She is a great storyteller with some terrific tales. Like this one where she was living in Egypt and had to find her way back home after riots broke out.

And in the theme of things, treat yourselves to five minutes of Annie Lennox, circa 1980's. She is so awesome. You have to click over to YouTube as they would not let me embed the video, but it's a classic.

Hmm, I guess #1 is the lie. Can't wait to find out if I'm right!

I think I will guess number one as well. Because I think you would have already written about it...
I play this with my students too. It's wicked fun.

Thanks for stopping by my blog on my SITS day!! Guess I"ll have to stop by again and see which one is the lie. :) Cute post!

I'm guessing #3. Gymkhanas and ribbons? I just can't see them ...

I LOVE this game! Ok. I'm going to guess #2. Although there is probably some truth in that story somewhere...

Really jeans. Can't wait to see what the lie really is.

I can see you doing ALL of those things, so I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say #3.

I can so see you in a band. It fits your teenage personality that you've told us about. We already know you're gorgeous so the model is completely believable. You've posted about your love for horses and I think you had one. I think it's a trick. I'm choosing #3 as the lie.

What fun!!! I choose number 3.
:D

I'm gonna guess #2. I've done this with my students too and they can't guess which one is my lie.

My guess is that #2 is the lie...

shooting for 1 to be the lie :-)

I'm going to guess #2. #3 sounds too crazy to make up, and #1 sounds pretty believable. I'm just not sure!!!! AAAAAAAARGH!! #2. Final answer.

They all sound believable to me, but I am a much better liar than truth-seer. :)

I am going to guess that #2 is the lie. Can't wait to see which one it is. There's got to be a great story behind all of them.

Hmmmmmm, good ones. I'm wavering between 2 and 3 but I'll go with number 2.

I have no freaking clue which one is the lie... you could be a middle aged fat bald man living in his parents' basement for all I know... the whole teacher living in paradise thing could be the friggin lie...

I'm going to say #2 - I know you're a horse girl too - and I can see you singing far more than the left-out girl, the wanna-be plastic...

how fun - I will definitely be trying this out with my students come fall!

Wow, this one is hard. I'm pretty sure I got Sushi Bar Jan's and I like to keep a perfect score. Hmm, I'm gonna go with Door number one!

I say #3 is the lie.

This is a toughie! I'm going to go with number 3.

This is hard because I could so see you doing all 3 of these things...but I will say #1 is the lie even though I think part of it might be true!

Now look: all of you who keep lying are makin' my HEAD spin....
:)

Don't know why but 3 seems like the lie to me.

I believe them all but I'm going to guess #2 and I have no idea why. I just like that number right now. :)

I say number 1 is the lie!

Hard to say, you've got the details down for each of them...I'll guess number 3.

Hi SITSta, thanks for stopping by! Fun game..it's hard to choose the lie. However I think I will vote for #2. Have a great Monday :)

I'm going to go with the pack and guess #1. If it's true I'm going to be totally jealous. I've always wanted to play the tamborine, just the girl in the Mamas and Papas. If you post a picture of you with long, flowy hair and a mumu I'm unsubscribing.;)

I love guessing games. I know #3 is true b/c who could possibly make that up. I'm going with the number ! as being the NOT TRUE one

I don't know which one to pick... It seems that all of the things would be something you would have done.

I'll say #3, I guess..

Now let me go see what is the lie :)
