I have to get to work and did not allow time to post beforehand.
So while I am stalling, those of you with travel posts can link on up and start the game.
My students have their final writing assignment for the year due today. It's going to be one of those days. Those of you with teenagers, visualize this. Out of 150 students, at least 30 to 40 of them will have every imaginable excuse and feigned ignorance for the due date, or perhaps the entire assignment.
On Mother's Day weekend I will have to grade all 150 (or less, depending on the procrastination bunch)....

Help! this has nothing to do with Travel but but Writing. How do I get a 11yrold boy to REALLY like to write?
Oh, hon - that's no way to spend your Mother's Day weekend. :(
(((Pseudo)))
I thought I was going to spend mothers day badly. I'll be in a truck driving across the big state of Texas. At least I can put my ear buds in and listen to a book on my itouch.
Sending hugs!
oh you totally need to do a post on the excuses...lol.
Not cool that you have to grade papers on Mother's day!
I am sorry I have not traveled with you lately... when school gets out and grad school slows down. xo
see, now you have to train those kids not to even ASK for their papers for a good 3 weeks. =)hope you get some relaxation in this weekend.
I wasn't able to get a post together this week, either, but hopefully next week!
happy mommy's day anyway.
i'll be working from 3-11. taking care of really really old mommies.
Hey Pseudo, I'm with Brian-- I can't wait to hear the excuses.
Hope you get a break this weekend to enjoy Mother's Day! You deserve it.
Cheers,
jj
I'd help you grade those papers if only I were in Hawaii. Bummer.
Happy Mother's Day!
