Travel Tip Thursday: Straight up and to the Point

The end of the school year in a high school is a frentic paced roller coaster of joys and angst and deadlines and pleading and silliness. One rolling in right on top of another.

So I'll cut to the chase and give you a travel tip.

When you come to Hawaii and go for a hike. Or the beach. Or where ever.

Don't leave your valuables locked in the car. Even in the trunk.

For reals.

Link on up if you'd like to join in.

10 more days left of SY 2009-2010.

You gave me such a giggle! I shake my head in bewilderment every time we're in a theme park and someone leaves their purse in a stroller so they can go on a ride. Oy, the stupidity out there!

I leave my purse in my car under my front seat more often than not. I do lock it though.

Happy end of the school year.

my laptop has been in the back seat of my car for 3 days. And is still there. But I have tinted windows and lock it. But not when it's in my driveway. It's still there. Whew..

Look at me, I've finally joined your fun!

I've begun to carry a couple of things in my pockets, i.d., credit card and phone, all fitting neatly in a pocket. No more heavy purses for me.

Great tip.

Wow, good tip. Here on the vineyard, I leave my keys in the car. But I did grow up in NJ, so when I'm off-island, the old instincts kick in...

Too bad that theft is so high there.
I know you are ready for school to be over this year. Have a wonderful weekend.

Even Paradise has its trouble - especially when you can count on tourists having their head in the clouds.

Not that I would resemble that remark. Amazing I haven't been mugged. Yet.

Seems like your school year has been exceedingly long. Didn't you begin in July?

Hope all is well with you. So happy you will have a break.

Happy weekend,

Good advice. Sad that it has to be adhered to.

I have a friend who parked in the church parking lot during on a weekday. She ran into the church office for 10 minutes. She locked her car but left her purse on the seat. When she came out it was gone and her window was broken. Lesson learned.

It's awful that it is that way but that IS the way.

Sounds like Hawaii is like DC...only with an ocean and palm trees? Well, that wonderful weather, too. I'll bet you haven't had snow in AGES, if ever?

Can't believe the year is over already. Hope your sail through finals and grading and all that crap so you can enjoy your summer. Woot!
