Old Dogs, New Places

I'm traveling. I'm in Sacramento at a conference.
Although born and raised in California, I have never before stayed in Sacramento. Passed through. Flew into and departed. But never hung out or spent a night.

Hopefully next week Thursday I will have a few tips on this city.

My point and shoot little digital broke down, so not sure how I will take photos.

It's summer people! Where's the staycation posts? Favorite haunts? Well, if you have one, link on up.

Well, I'd have a TTT post if the idiots in charge of the old prison in Mansfield, Ohio (where Shawshank Redemption was filmed) didn't close the place on SATURDAYS.

I hope you're having a good time, m'dear.

Does your cell phone have a camera?

I know it's technically for work, but I hope you can enjoy your trip!

Hello Stacey,

Hopefully you are having a safe and fun trip in beautiful Sacramento. As we noticed on your blog that you like to travel, I wanted to give you the link to our PDF resource for teachers on traveling to South or Latin America in case you are interested in making it down south anytime soon - http://www.educationaltravel.com/PR/Latin-South-American-Tours.aspx

Bon voyage!

I have camped near Sacramento and been sightseeing in the city but not lived there. Like you, I was raised in southern CA, mostly around Riverside. My son was born in Riverside and he and his wife live on Oahu.

no camera - do a sketch and scan it in. Pencil/pen use the notepad at the hotel.

It's Thursday and I got my post up. Yeah for me! Enjoy Sacramento. It's hot and humid in the summer. The railroad museum (if you're into such things) is really neat.

I've always wondered about Sacramento. You really don't hear much about it.
