The first video is a little bigger wave, no body boarders. The guy poped out of that wave and kept at it for about 30 minutes, getting slammed like that over and over.
This reminds me of vacations that we used to take when I was a kid. We always stayed in Makaha because we had (very) extended family there, and the locals amazed me with how unafraid they were of the undertow. Mostly I remember going into the ocean and coming out with a load of sand in my suit.
Thanks for stopping by earlier. I've read a couple of your posts and you have a very good blog. The photos are beautiful too.

The first video didn't work...but the second one.... man was that guy ok???
The way I feel some days--before getting out of bed.
Wow, I might have to rethink having that one my 100 things to do before I die list - ouch!
Bet he had sand in places sand just shouldn't be.

That guy has real stick-to-it-ive-ness. Awesome waves. We don't get waves like that here unless there's a hurricane.
I think the guy was a pro. All the pros were out that day down the beach at Pipeline.
SMB - Well, you sure don't want hurricanes.
Awesome! I would love to live near real surf like that. No surf on the Puget Sound :(.
those are such great little videos, when the sound of the waves came up my dogs even popped their heads up to see what was going on...very cool!
Wow awesome surf and one brave boarder. Beautiful video.
Jayjay
Cool video.
We live close to a beach. I should go walk on a beach today and look at some waves. I don't do that enough. Thanks for the reminder.
Wow! That was awesome!! Totally scary, but awesome.
