A mixed plate adventure...
Please tell me that when you turn around and face the other direction it is a big ole mess.I SAID PLEASE!
Mmmm. I think I have a photo looking the other way, but it's.....
WOW! Very nice!
Is it seaweed? It kind of looks like some blobby sea-creatures crawling up on land to evolve...
These rocks are covered in some kind of algae. The turtles eat it. So on a higher tide, you can see lots of turtles swimming and munching. When the waves come in and out, it lifts them vertical and their little rear ends stick straight up out of the water.
I imagine that in turtle scriptures that algae bed features frequently.
I see people in the seaweed. Not like bodies, but like in clouds. Never mind.
I love the contrast of the blue sky and water with the green seaweed covering the rocks and then the sand. And I agree with Liz - looks like some strange creatures that are crawling from the sea onto the sand.Happy Wednesday!Ps. the cabin in the link in yesterdays post belongs to my husband and 3 other buddies of his.
"Soylent green is people!" Sorry, looks like a group of people holding hands and that quote immediately came to mind!
That's wonderful on Wednesday!
Beautiful, I think it is just beautiful, wish I was there. I can see the water breaking out that must be a coral bed out there so I know it is totally awesome and beautiful. You are right...words are not needed I can hear the waves. :-)
It's funny you should say turtles feed on this, because at first glance I thought it WAS sea turtles on the beach.
oh wow - this was the perfect breather to my day. I saw that and for a moment I was there. I felt the sun on my hair, the breeze on my face, the way the sand shifts a little even when you're standing still. And now I can add turtle butts sticking up out of the water to my imaginings!
Awesome and I especially love the way the horizon curves as if the shot was taken from a great distance.
So pretty I want to jump in.
I was actually sitting on the wet sand right there. The zoom feature on my camera broke : -(For Mother's Day we are going to the North Shore. I have stayed home the last two weekends playing catch up with everything else.
Slimy. Am I the only one who thinks the seaweed looks like paper dolls holding hands?
I need a trip to the beach. Not that our beaches are even close to as beautiful as yours.Great photo.
The rocks look very slippery. But the photograph is beautiful as always.
You are so lucky to live there. So beautiful, so peaceful
Wow cool picture! Very interesting seaweed. Thanks for stopping by my blog. As for the keeping track of the comments. I'm just doing it the old fashioned way - tally marks on a paper everytime I make a comment. This will be comment 230!
Yeah, I see a spot of litter out there in the ocean.Your state is not so perfect after all, now is it?(sigh.....I know, I know. I'm deluding myself. It truly is a beautiful state. You have to forgive me for trying to make it ugly as I'm so incredibly jealous that you live there.)
What a way to end my day - thanks!Sweet dreams of the beach for me...
Oh how I need some ocean time this week. It has been in the 90's here our A/C has broken. I'm dying to slip away just for an hour or two ... Hopefully on Saturday! Beautiful picture!
