Mother's Day, kind of...

Hope all you moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was awesome thank-you very much. No beach, but a nice day with my kids (hubs had to work). The cards they gave me made me both laugh out loud and tear up.

As I try and find balance in my life and scratch out my blogging time, I give you the top reasons why I have been such a bad blogger these last few months.

1. We moved in February.

2. I am now a commuter and spend 2-3 hours on the road a day.

3. In the mornings, I have been committed to some spiritual rituals. I wouldn't exactly call it meditating yet, but it does replace getting on the computer before work.

4. I have been spending quite a bit of time putting out fires. Metaphorically speaking.

5. The latest pain in my ass is my computer is acting up. I need to get it looked at, but it is so slow it is not even worth bothering with. I try to catch up on you alls blog posts at work, but many of them are blocked.

6. Since the computer is acting up, I am reading and watching DVD's more.

Miss you all. I have three more weeks of work before summer, then I hope things will settle down. I have an idea how to not work a second job this summer despite my pay cut, but I am saving the idea for this week's Spin Cycle.

Aloha...

I'm hoping that no literal fires show themselves. Although, with your computer acting up you may get a chance to run outside and put them out!!

Miss the old days but I understand and hope you're picking some decent DVDs...

It seems the universe wants you to focus on other things right now. I'm glad you are in the homestretch for your job, and thrilled to read you had an awesome mother's day.

Glad that you had a peaceful and joyous day- well deserved I should add! 2-3 hours on the road in Hawaii- whew! I remember the traffic near Honolulu, impressive for such a small place. You must travel halfway across the island!

Think of the next three weeks as the distance to the finish llne. Most of the marathon is behind you. I know you'll make it just fine.

I hope the fires are either contained or extinguished!

I hope the next three weeks pass quickly and uneventfully.

We miss you but that commute sounds like hell! Can't wait to hear your summer idea.

That's quite a bit of commuting time. I used to love listening to books on tape when I was working, it helped subdue my irritation with fellow drivers.

Glad your Mother's Day was sweet. Take your time, blogging will still be here when you return.

Sounds like your life has been on a spin cycle, why wait for the other spin cycle?

I've been a bad blogger lately too. It's hard to keep up with it all. I'm hoping to better this summer too.

Not to worry. We'll be here when things slow down for you.

Glad you got to spend Mother's Day with your kids.

Hang in there,

Don't apologise! The blog is for you. We just get to listen in.

That is a very long commute time! I hope you at least like your new home. I hope you figure out how to avoid that second job!

Ook. I am always surprised by how long it takes to get from one part of Oahu to another. Also, the majority of the drivers seem to be either Extremely Aggressive or 900 Years Old And In No Particular Hurry. In short, I sympathize.

Some pretty compelling reasons there. Trust me, you're still with me in spirit--isn't that part of the charm of a virtual friendship??

Seems your re-ranging and finding a place for everything, which takes some time... Reworking schedules takes some juggling.

Take care of you!

Wow, what a long drive! Must be awful at times. I think we all sometimes have to take a little step back from blogging cause other things just take up are time and time is short!

Miss you too, hope things calm down soon. Ugh. I wish I could send you a zillion dollars so you didn't have to worry about working this summer. Alas, no zillion dollars to send. :(
