Travel Tip Thursday Tunes

First of all, I am technologically challenged this month for Traveling Thursdays. My daughter is in Hana for the month and I let her take my camera. She has promised to bring me back photo amo for several travel posts.

Meanwhile, I have to rely on other means.

Like YouTube.

Today's travel tip is simple. Check out the local music scene where ever you go. Often all you have to do is go to the right bar.

Monday night hubs and I had a date. We went to Tiki's Bar and Grill. Think hotel top poolside with an ocean view. Sunset. Followed by crescent moon.

First band is an amazing local blues band called Friends of Adam.

Followed by a great local Hawaiian band, Kapena.

Wish I had my own videos and photos for you all. Next time. Take my word, it was a pretty night in paradise.

Bloggers, take us away and link on up your own favorite spot.

I may have to come back and link up tomorrow... IF I can get through all my Colorado pics, I'll blog about that next. :)

We have to go up to Cleveland for the local music/bar thing, but heck - it's only a 45 minute drive.

Doing a little comment catch-up here:

Enjoyed the same crescent moon this week--kinda cool.

Good luck with the baby bird!

And as for your post about your other baby bird who will soon leave the nest, LOVED it! So beautifully said.

How cool, a date night with your husband. Fun. The videos are still fine so we can see what you saw.

I haven't checked out the local music scene since I was in college. I never think of that. Great tip!

Oh, nice that you had a date! I love going to dive bars and listening to the music. Haven't done that much in recent years but I think we will make it a point to try it...

Gawd I gotta get out more. Going out to eat at a place that also has entertainment, hasn't happened yet. Picnic at the park and watching kids play, that is as close as it gets.

THis is a good idea--I got a road trip coming up next month and will have to try it.

I didn't get a TTT post up again this week, things are hectic, but speaking of music and trips and I remember Bill Bryson, in his book about traveling around the US after moving back from Great Britain, where he said told about how ever blasted radio station was still playing the Eagles "Hotel California" 25 years later.

I really love going to see local bands. So much more personal than a huge concert... unless it's P!nk of course!!
