I'm traveling. I'm in Sacramento at a conference.
Although born and raised in California, I have never before stayed in Sacramento. Passed through. Flew into and departed. But never hung out or spent a night.Hopefully next week Thursday I will have a few tips on this city.
My point and shoot little digital broke down, so not sure how I will take photos.

Well, I'd have a TTT post if the idiots in charge of the old prison in Mansfield, Ohio (where Shawshank Redemption was filmed) didn't close the place on SATURDAYS.

Sacramento is HOT this time of the year. Hope you get to the coast and cool off.
I have camped near Sacramento and been sightseeing in the city but not lived there. Like you, I was raised in southern CA, mostly around Riverside. My son was born in Riverside and he and his wife live on Oahu.
no camera - do a sketch and scan it in. Pencil/pen use the notepad at the hotel.

It's Thursday and I got my post up. Yeah for me! Enjoy Sacramento. It's hot and humid in the summer. The railroad museum (if you're into such things) is really neat.
