Weekend Wrap Up

The Helping Hands Project:

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading posts on the Helping Hands Project. There's a lot of good will going on out there. Two posts that really touched my heart and inspired me were Mama Dawg's and Pam's over at The McEwan's. Go check them out. It will give you that warm fuzzy feeling.

I always want to give to Toys for Tots, but their deadline sometimes comes up before I can go shopping. This year, I mailed in a contribution. They also have a website.

Thanksgiving and Living: The Days, Final Chapter (Really)

Hanging out in beach chairs reading books and magazines.
Or just sitting.
Or talking.
Our spot on the beach.

Stalking four of my friends as we take a walk on the beach.

I meant to decorate for Christmas this weekend. But I didn't. Ah. Well. It will all get done eventually.

i think my sister would love to spend her Thanksgiving here...just chatting on the phone with her and she was mentioning Mexico with that wistful tone in her voice...she does love her little trips to the sunny climes.

We were actually discussing a hot buttered rum recipe that uses ice cream in the base, so how we got to discussing Mexico, one can only imagine :)

thistle - you should post the hot buttered rum recipe. I've never had one. Maybe it goes yummy with SMB's White Trash treats.

I wonder if they are the same white trash treats we make? I will have to check her blog.

Cute post. I did not decorate this weekend, either. The box is still sitting there, waiting for me...

Happy Monday.

What is it about the view of the ocean? Just does something for the soul.

You really inspired me with the Helping Hands project. I'll have a post about it this week. Thanks...

Movie- how's that? Two white trash treats out there. And as for decorating, at least you got the box down.

vodka mom - debbie wants to come with you if you do.

b- I agree, very soulful. Someday I hope to live with some blue in my view.

As much as I like a chilly T-day and cold Xmas, I'll gladly take your "backyard" any day.

Glad you enjoyed my post. We're already working on the next year's haul.

It snows here at least three times a week and you're on the beach. I'm very jealous.

Thanks for the Helping Hands links, I'm headed over to read the posts.

It's been unseasonably cold where I live, and that beach looks divine!

I might never decorate for Christmas if I had a beach in my backyard like yours. wow.

I've always believed that the lucky souls that get to live at the beach must have been very good in a previous life.

I'm guessing you were a saint.

Come on over for my open house - for each comment I receive, I'm donating one nonperishable item to my local food bank. A small helping hands project.

The beach in December is a good, good thing. And *way* better than decorating. Just sit on the beach and put a wreath on your head -- that's what I would do.
