Transition

This Weekend
packed nearly the entire kitchen,
work made fun
by my friend coming over to help,
the chatting
making up for the inky, newsprint hands.
Cleaned out and painted two bathrooms....
Our lives
in boxes
organized in the garage
waiting...
for
the next
adventure....

Isn't it funny how much better WORK can be when you have a friend their with you while you do it? Sounds like you really got a lot done!

Amazing how it can all be packed so neatly. All that living. Good luck with the transitions and the packing and oh! the unpacking. Fun. It is an adventure.

A mega project to be sure! It's both emotionally and physically tiring. I hope you are balancing your time with rest and fun.

To where are you moving? Are you happy about it? I know it's sad to leave a home that's been yours for so many years, but is there excitement in the prospects of your new home?

A new chapter in your life....it's best to toss everything out and start fresh. Except that would take tons of $$$$.

Enjoy the adventure.

Something tells me that the next adventure will involve a migration from the garage.

I moved so much when I was young, I had the packing down to a fine art. Good luck with yours, and don't forget to take lots of pics to share with us!

Moving can be a tough and emotional event in many aspects. The excitement of something new compounded with the sorrow of leaving the past behind! I hope that it is all good with you!

It's true, everything is better with friends.

I hope the move goes smoothly.

It's impossible to move without being filled with reflections of what's gone by. Store them up to use in future writing...
Such hard work, physically and emotionally. Good luck!

I havent checked blogs in a long time, last time I know you had gotten a not so pleasant happening in your life. I hope the move isnt part of that, and that this is a great adventure. Glad you have a friend to help, hope this is a great new chapter in your life!

I felt bad about not knowing where or why you're moving till I surfed the comments and realized no one else seems to, either.

In any event, best of luck!

Moving is so, so, so ghastly. I know it will be an adventure on the other side, but man is the process unpleasant. I will be thinking of you!

Don't go on any adventures without us!
