We're going to travel to Maui today. Click on the video for some music if you are in the mood for experiential enhancement.
My daughter has been in Hana Maui for the last four weeks and has just returned to the nest. Daughter was at a workshop with Hana Performing Arts and she will be playing Meg in Little Women, which is tentatively set to show at the end of December.
While she was gone she had my camera. However, she came back with hundreds of shots and plenty of ammo for Travel Tip Thursdays. Today's tip? If you find yourself in Maui one day, think about a visit to the Lavender Farm.
Road trip adventures? Summer fun ideas? How about a photo from your favorite local place? Link on up and join the virtual travel fun. Mr Linky was working when I went to bed... ACK. If you have a travel post, leave the URL in the comments and I will add them throughout the day.

Glad you got some good photo ammo. No big summer plans for us this summer, we do have a beach weekend coming up. Never done that with toddlers, could go either way but at least we're local so it's not a far trip home if things go south.
I would never have thought that lavender is grown in the Hawaiin islands! What a magical place that must have been to visit. :-)
Nice pictures. The place looked beautiful. Maybe someday :)
I am SO sorry I can't spell(Hawaiian?) this morning..need more coffee....
It looks lovely there. I have a large lavender bush in my front yard and when it's in bloom, it's intoxicating!
Mmmm, that garden must be really relaxing.
Aww, Linky is down when I actually have a post to link to! :(
Ah well. The Lavender Farm is GORGEOUS. How did I miss that when I was there? (We were touristy and did the Dole Plantation instead. Also, we didn't wander too far from Waikiki, so that probably was a factor?)
Looks divine. I wonder how my allergies would hold up there?
Wish I had some photos for you... maybe next week. xo
Little Women was my favorite book for most of my younger years (it was eventually supplanted by Gone With The Wind, and I revisit it ever so often. I wish I could see your daughter's performance!
Stoopid Mr. Linky - my TTT post is up: http://www.jbsitedesigns.com/?p=8302
People thing Hawaii grows only coffee and pineapple! Lavender fields would be a treat to the senses.
Beautiful scenery! Seriously, I need some time to set up a post about some great musicians we saw at a hotel in Ft Myers. It was perfect!
I love lavendar. I put music up today too ... in fact, I thought of you as I did. Wondering if either of the bands I mentioned have caught on in Hawaii - I bet they have.
awesome pictures. I love the lavender ... nice.
Oh that looks so much better then Lavadar on FB Farmville!!:)
We've got some lavendar in our little herb garden... little girl loves to pick the pretty purple flowers.
That lavender looks so beautiful! Good luck to her in her role.
The scenery there is always amazing!
I hope to get to Hawaii one day!
will you be posting some pics from the road to Hana ? As I guess you know it's one of the greatest drives in the world.
I'd be sneezing my head off but it would be worth it! It looks like a great day trip.
Thanks,
jj
Meg in Little Women! how wonderful
This post made me realize that I started wanting to go to Hawaii when I was 8. I have been to Hawaii all of never times. Ridiculous. If my eight year old self were here she'd kick me in the shins. I need to do some vacation planning!
It looks fabulous!
Oh man, I'm just drooling over here-I LOVE lavender and could just bath in it everyday of my life! LOL
What a great travel adventure :D Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!
Who knew lavender would grow in Hawaii? You really do have the best of everything!
