A great place to sit on the wall and eat lunch. But I'm walking so we need to keep going.
Diamond Head Beach. Sometimes we walk down the path to the beach and throw a stick for the border collie.

I found your blog over at SITSA's website. I've seen Diamond Head and hiked up it with my mom and aunt many years ago it seems. Your pictures really make want to go back. Ah, the fond memories!

The banyan tree looks so cool! That's one of those things I've only read about, but never seen...sad, isn't it?

Those hanging branches from the banyan tree can be used as swings, kind of like Tarzan. When my kids were young and we met friends at teh park for picnics, the kids would all swing on the hanging branches.

I think Banyan trees are the coolest thing ever. If they didn't take a million years to grow and if they were deciduous to FL, I'd plant one here. They have them at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota (gifts from Thomas Edison to the Ringling family) and we always stop to take pictures of them.

Gorgeous pictures! My sister and her fam headed to Hawaii for the first time today. I felt too overextended and cheap to join them. My kids have been bummed all day about the missed opportunity. "You regret saying NO to Hawaii, don't you Mom?" Heck, yes!Maybe someday.
