RTT Say you Know Me

Hey hey hey it's Random Tuesday...

We have a new microwave. It's in a box on the kitchen counter. The old one finally fizzled and flipped out. The little half pint microwave lasted twenty years. For the last three years (since the cancer debacle) I wouldn't even be in the same room as it when it was on. I'm just saying.

I'm trying (not to successfully) to catch up on my blog reading. Work and life have me running in circles.

Mango Girl gifted me with the Honest Scrap award. Her blog is a somewhat recent discovery for me. I have her featured under the sunset in the sidebar. She has a series going on over at her place about a period in her life where she took a job bartending on a remote private island in the Bahamas. I caught up with the posts this weekend and am convinced I was meant to be her work buddy and not the prissy girl who did not last a week. Anywhos check Mango Girl out - it is an amazing story.

Somewhere in my archives I have a post that goes with the Honest Scrap award. Or if you are new here, click on a favorite post in the sidebar, especially the survivor or teaching posts. That's about as honest as I get...

Amy over at Keeping Up with the Schultz Family passed on this Splash award. You all know how much I love anything ocean related so of course I think this is as pretty as they come. Amy is about the sweetest blogger out there so go check her out too.

I'd like to invite anyone who stops by and leaves a comment to help themselves to either or both of these awards. Stop by Mango Girl's or Amy's for the particulars.
For more Randomness, hop on over to Keely at the Unmom's.
I leave you with a random music video.

Shortly before we replaced our old microwave, it sounded like it was trying to say something every time and the noise was always different depending on what was in there. When our dog started barking at it, that's when we decided it was time to go.
Congrats on the awards!

I'm with you on the microwave. It's a popcorn popper and defroster, even then, not so much. Ack.

How did you know I needed to watch that video today? Thank you so much. xxxooo

I have a microwave that will do everything but take the dishes out of the cabinet.

We use it to heat up leftovers.

Go figure.

Great, I show up for random and you give me reading homework...teachers! Congrats on the new microwave, although I don't know how well it will reheat your snacks from inside the box. ;)

I'm with you on the microwave. With another little one on the way, PB makes me stand at least 5 feet back when it's on. He takes no chances.

Now I have more blogs to visit? This simply isn't fair. Someone needs to pay me to read blogs all day.

Hope being back at school is treating you well.

Hang in there, teacher! Don't let blogging drown you! We love you here!

Hey, I'm checking out the other bloggers.

Have a great week! If the turntable in the microwave starts to spin backwards, spitting out devilish words, get rid of it!!! hehe

I always push my microwave to its limits before I replace it as well. That's not good that we do this, is it?

I've been reading Mango's story also and wow, what a story it is! :)

I hope you feel adjusted to being back at work soon.

I just read the part about the microwave to my husband and he is amazed to find out that I'm not the only freak in the world afraid of them. I refuse to eat meat cooked or heated up in the microwave. Water heated in the microwave just tastes wrong.

Basically, I could do without it.

You are so sweet to shout out for others. I do love reading Mango Girl. I'll go check out the other.

I remember when my family got our first microwave. My little friend from down the street would come over and we'd press our noses to the glass window to watch water boil. Until my mom found us, "you're going to go bliiiiiind!"

That ol' microwave lasted for seven years. No one went blind.

Are you kidding? I duck when I use the microwave.. I don't want to get zapped.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah for a new microwave. I would be sad if something happen to mine.

Congrats on the awards Pseudo, good ones for you!

Hate to tell you this, but that new microwave won't be around 20 years from now as NOTHING is made to last anymore.

Well, I guess it's a small world, because I "gifted" you with the Honest Scrap Award today, too! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and keeping me enthusiastic about my photography!

Great randomness and congrats on the awards. I couldn't listen to video as I would hate to disturb MHS who is snoring like a freight train beside me.
