Signs

For all that we put on our blogs, there is so much that we don’t. At least for me. I might rub my back up against some boundaries and occasionally foray into dangerous territories. Still. There’s a lot left unsaid.

Things have been difficult lately. A bad week. The kind where I wonder if I really have what it takes to deal with one more mess to clean up, one more broken thing to be fixed, one more bill that needs to be paid, one more emotional emergency of a loved one that taxes me too.

Murphy’s Law not only in action, but attached to a stealth bomb.

So yesterday I was feeling overwhelmed enough, when I choose the wrong route home and got stuck in a traffic jam.

Just what I didn’t need. To be stuck in traffic, late to someplace I needed to be, stuck idle with my fears and anxieties.

I decided the only way to stop worrying over a couple of situations that had the potential to get worse, was to meditate on the positive.

And while I was taking my deep breaths and centering my thoughts I asked for a sign that everything was going to be OK. That it would all work out.

Something to hold onto during this whirlwind of mini crises.

Please Universe. Give me a sign that everything is going to be alright.

Deep breath in. Deep breath out.

A sign.

A silver Jaguar passed me on the left, pulling up to the next red light just ahead of me.

Whoa! That gave me major goosebumps!!

I can absolutely relate to this post. You're right - for all that we put on our blogs, there is so much that we don't. Sorry you've been having such a bad week...((HUGZ!)) to you and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

And thanks for the goosebumps! ;)

Very cool! Have faith.

Love when that happens. When I'm in bad situations or stuck in traffic, etc., I tell myself I'm being held up to keep me from diaster awaiting down the road. :) Better week coming for you, hopefully!

Thanks. I needed to read that today.

Been looking for signs myself lately, and having a really tough time finding any.

That's wonderful. I'm so glad you got the sign you needed. Hopefully things start to fall into place a little easier now. Have a great day, and thanks for sharing that with those of us who needed a little uplifting today.

i love to believe in silver jaguars :)

sometimes you just have to stop and let it go because after all, it's not up to you is it? i try and remind myself of this often and as soon as i let it go, it gets resolved.

I love that you were looking for a positive sign and then you saw one. So, believe. It will all be okay.

You are stronger than you know.

Yes, wonderful post, knowing sometimes we can't control what is happening...only thing to do is breathe, meditate, just listen. Hope this is a much better week ahead.

Loved this post. Thank you for the reminder.

The positive, the beautiful, the uplifting, the comforting ... they are always right there in front of us, in one form or another.

We just have to be open to seeing them.

Namaste. :)

That brought tears to my eyes. Seriously.

Prayers of strength to you my dear, though it looks like things are going to be just fine :-)

I definetly believe in signs. I do believe that when we ask for them we are definetly given to us. =)

Hugs* Hope this week turns out better! =)

I hope that your problems that are bothering you are not too serious? You can never tell by a blog what someone is going through, maybe it really was your sign!

This is absolutely the most perfect blog post for me to come across today. I recently had some life changing news that caused me to sort of go into a free spin of panic and planning. But, when I finally stopped to reflect on the positive, I saw that this news is actually much, much better than I thought.

Wow! When you ask for a sign, girl, you are Serious. This is awesome.
I hope it helped you. I know you had a tough week, and I really hope it gets better!

What a great sign, it seems so much better to live in a country where letters are used on plates - Here we have numbers, 666 is not such a great sign! ;0) Hope things are getting better.

Ah, that meditation practice this summer made an impact. So glad. Yes, although we send a great part of ourselves into our writing and blogs, there is that THAT that we don't relay. Some days it is THIS. We do need to keep believing though. What you saw has traveled to many of us now, as well.

I'm glad you liked my Jag, I always prefer silver...

Seriously though, I have had many such encounters in my life. When I was 12 I was deciding whether to go out with a girl called Nicola. She had "been around" so to speak, and I knew she may be a bad influence. I flipped open a bible for some guidance and guess what I found? Some verse in Revelation about how evil the Nicolaitans were! How sublime is that?!

I'm so sorry you're having a tough time right now...believe in signs, and believe that things will improve.

That;s beautiful. And it gave me little shivers...

It seems as though when you are at you r lowest point is sometimes when you are open enough to ask, and receive, that which you need most.

I probably would have used my time in traffic to cry a little. I drudge up all my emotional baggage and problems that my friends are having when I am alone in the car....

then traffic starts moving again. You just have to keep going and keep your head up.

I think you were in my life this past week...I am also waiting for my sign.

Casey said...

Aww, Pseudo, sorry you're having a rough time over there. I'm glad the Jaguar brought you a positive sign. Dunno why, but I thought you were going to say the owner got pulled over for cutting around traffic and it cheered you up.

Smart Mouth Broad said...

Oh Pseudo, I'm so late getting around. I tend to save your posts to last and then sometimes don't make it. *sigh* Anyway, so sorry things are poopy. Here too...just in case misery loves company. What an awesome sign, tho. Just AWESOME!
